✨ How it works:
Today, August 6th, the skies above Aldaia lit up with the biggest mascletà in history, and what a show it was!
At 14:30, Pirotecnia Mediterráneo ignited an unforgettable display:
• Over 1,300 kg of gunpowder
• 10,000 Truenos
• 11,400 salute shells
• A 3km-long terremoto that shook the ground, and people - before heading straight for the viewing public
• And an aerial bombardment that lit up the daylight sky
All in honour of the 225th anniversary of the Christ of the Needy. Thanks to the passion and dedication of the Clavaris del Crist d’Aldaia. They promised an event that would go down in history, and they delivered.
A mascletà for the ages. Aldaia, today you were the epicentre of sound, fire, and Valencian pride.
Enjoy our fiery photos on Facebook and videos on YouTube!
If you have any photos or videos then please feel free to share (not YouTube videos).
Finally, thanks to the guys, my brother's , from the Facebook group; El Arte de la Pirotecnia, for your photos and videos!

Its my personal journey of first visiting Valencia in 2011, my history as a professional pyrotechnician and making the permanent move to the city as an expat in 2017.
You can follow my journey by ordering your copy of, "Valencia & Fallas through my eyes - an Explosive Journey", now only from Amazon.
Already grateful for the positive feedback.
One common question we get asked is, “does Fallas get very busy?”, or it may be something you have heard someone say... but exactly how busy does it get? Simple answer is... EXTREMELY BUSY!!
Check out our photo for a fair idea.
So if it’s your first time to Las Fallas, Valencia, then make sure you are prepared!! I cannot stress that enough. Make sure you take water, maybe something to eat as well as suitable protection from the sun. Many people faint while waiting for the Mascletà every year so don’t become a statistic!
We also strongly recommend getting to the Mascletà at LEAST an hour and a half before shoot time which is always 14.00hrs unless it’s a Mascletà nocturna (night shoot). This is so you can find an area that will suit you, a curb to sit on for example or a wall behind to lean against or even a barrier in front to rest upon. Maybe even invest in a collapsible stall/chair from the local Chinese bazaar for around 10€?
Cruz Rojo (Red Cross) first aiders will be at hand should you have any problems. So just be safe and enjoy!!
Don’t forget, it’s a party!! So please make the most of every minute!
